The course provides an overview of the various sanitation systems and technologies, key planning principles and the necessary enabling environment for sanitation projects in low- and middle-income areas.

Participants learn how to select and design appropriate options to improve sanitation in urban and peri-urban settlements. Further issues covered are appropriate faecal sludge management options and integrated sanitation planning at city and neighbourhood level.

This course will be recorded and can be viewed time-delayed over the Internet at a reduced course fee.
