EUROPARC Conference 2016 is hosted and organised by the Parc Jura vaudois. Under the theme “We are Parks”, the Conference will take place from 18 to 22 October 2016 in the Vallée de Joux and will bring together over 400 delegates from 36 European countries.
We welcome delegates from all over Europe to join us in the Parc Jura vaudois for an exciting and stimulating program examining the role of the people in our parks. The bottom-up democratic model of parks in Switzerland will give us the opportunity to consider how communities can and do participate in the governance of our parks.
We want to open this event to the public. Many activities are planned, such as educational activities, films, lectures and tastings of products. The local community in and around the park will meet the delegates at events like the Party for the locals. The Conference EUROPARC 2016 will bring to life our belief that together “We are Parks!“.
